Code of Conduct

If you are reading this, you’re likely in the process of becoming a “Member” of the Fueled Collective community or, maybe you’re already a Member, and just want a little refresher of the rules of the road here at Fueled. You might even be checking to see if there are any changes to this “Code of Conduct” (or “Code”), as we may update it from time to time to enhance the experience of all of our Members. Either way, the rules and regulations below are an important part of your Membership Agreement, so please review them carefully.  If you have any questions about any of the below, be sure to contact the Manager of your local Fueled Collective location. “We, Us or Our” refers to Fueled Collective, and “You and Your” refers to you as a Member of this Fueled Collective location.

Stay informed. By entering into a Membership Agreement with us, you agree to be bound by this Code of Conduct. We may change and update this Code of Conduct from time to time as input and observations from our Members help us make the Fueled Collective community better and stronger. We will make efforts to notify you of changes to the Code, but it is your responsibility to stay up to date on the latest version.
Be good. Behave well and treat others the way you would want to be treated. And if you don’t walk the talk, then at the request of our Members, other building tenants, or our choosing, we will warn you to shape up or ship out. We know it sounds tough, but our community can be spoiled with one bad apple. Simply put, every membership is terminable by us, with and without cause. We reserve the right, to immediately terminate a membership if, in our sole discretion, we determine immediate termination is warranted under the circumstances.

Obey the law. Don’t fight the law (it always wins). Violate the law and you’re out. This means you won’t use your Membership or this Fueled Collective for any unlawful purpose, including doing anything that could damage, disable or impair any of our property, our Members’ property, or keep other Members from using our space. This also means you won’t attempt to gain access to any computer systems or networks or attempt to obtain any materials or information not intentionally made available to all of our Members. If you attempt to do any of these things, your membership will be terminated immediately. Be sure to check out the Website Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Network Terms of Service, and Member Guest Policy at Fueledcollective.com and/or the Fueled Membership portal for more details on the use of the Fueled Collective wireless network.

Internet use and misuse. You agree not to use your Membership or access to the wireless network in connection with: Contests, pyramid schemes, chain letters, junk email, spamming, or similar annoying behavior; Defaming, abusing, harassing, threatening, or otherwise violating the legal rights (such as privacy and publicity) of others; Posting, distributing or disseminating inappropriate, profane, defamatory, obscene, indecent, or unlawful material or information; Uploading, reproducing, using, performing or otherwise making available, images, software or other material or information which infringes another’s rights or is protected by intellectual property laws where you don’t own or license such rights; and uploading or using files that contain viruses, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may damage our, or a Member’s, computers or property.

Help us be good houseguests. Respect the rules of the house. Please be aware that each Fueled Collective location exists inside multi-tenant business buildings, which means that all of our Members also must abide by the rules of the building. If you act professionally there will not be any problems. Please know that the building’s rules might change with time, so you’re responsible for being aware of changes, but we will do our best to let you know ahead of time. The list below is a non-exclusive general list of basic rules:

Do not use any equipment, machinery, or advertising medium which may be heard outside the Fueled Collective space. Don’t use any plumbing facilities for any purpose other than that for which they were constructed. Don’t use any portion of the Premises as sleeping apartments, lodging rooms, or for any unlawful purpose or purposes. Do not solicit business in the common or public areas of the building.
Don’t distribute or display any handbills or other advertising matters or devices in the common or public areas. Don’t obstruct or encumber any sidewalks, entrances, passages, courts, elevators, vestibules, stairways, corridors, halls, or any other part of the building. Don’t permit any drapes, blinds, shades or screens to be attached to, hung in, or used in connection with any window or door relating to the Premises without our prior written consent. Don’t permit any showcases, mats or other articles to be placed or allowed to remain in front, in the proximity of or affixed to any part of the exterior of the Premises. Don’t permit or encourage any loitering in or about the Premises. Don’t enter upon or use the roof of the Premises without our prior written consent. Don’t permit or encourage any canvassing, soliciting, peddling, or demonstrating in or about the Premises. Don’t install or permit the installation of any wiring for any purpose on the exterior of the Premises or the Building. Don’t mark, paint, drill into, or deface any part of the shell or core of the Building. Don’t bring in or keep any firearms in the Premises or the Building. Don’t affix any floor covering to any floor of the Premises with adhesive of any kind without obtaining our written consent.

Service animals, bikes, and children. Service Animals. “Service Animals” are permitted under the terms and limitations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), as well as state and local laws and regulations in the community in which each Fueled Collective is located. All ADA Service Animals must be housebroken, harnessed, leashed, or tethered unless these devices interfere with the Service Animal’s work, or the individual Member’s disability prevents them from using these devices. Please note that only dogs individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities are currently recognized under the ADA as Service Animals.

Bikes. Bikes are permitted, and encouraged, at all Fueled Collective locations. Please keep bikes at designated storage areas, and make sure to clean up any debris produced by your bike in common and storage areas.

Children. While we love them, it is helpful to keep in mind that they do not have a membership. If you bring them to work with you, they need to stay with you. After all, if they are bugging you while you work, they likely will be doing the same thing to others if you let them loose. Please be respectful of others at work and know that we might kindly ask them to leave. For extended stays (more than a single day), a Day Pass must be purchased for all children.

Parties and Events. Each Fueled Collective is a multi-purpose destination and will host events at all locations, during the day, evening, and weekend hours. Every attempt will be made to mark private areas, and someone will patrol to ensure that event participants do not unreasonably interfere with Member’s spaces. However, be warned that smart and beautiful people will be showing up at all hours, and we reserve the right to block off any part of the Premises for parties or events.

Equipment, Furniture, and Decor. While we strive to provide our Members with all the professional amenities and personal comforts they need, we understand that you may wish to bring certain items into your workstation. While we don’t mind bags, laptops, and small desktop accessories, only those Members who have Private Office Memberships may bring in extra equipment (i.e. file cabinets, printers, scanners, etc.) and only with our prior written approval. We reserve the right to refuse any piece of equipment to remain on the Premises. We also ask that you keep it classy with any décor you choose to attach to your Private Office. Offensive, intimidating, or lewd materials will not be tolerated, and we reserve the right to require you to remove any decorations we find objectionable, in our sole discretion.

Printing Services. Black and white printing is currently provided at no cost as an amenity to our some of our Membership levels. If this privilege is abused by printing massive Hollywood scripts, epic novels, or manuals, we may be forced to revoke this privilege and start charging for printing services individually or collectively.

Intellectual Property. We are committed to complying with U.S. trademark, copyright, and related laws and requires all Members and users of our networks to comply with these laws. Accordingly, you may not store any material or content on, or disseminate any material or content in a manner that constitutes an infringement of third-party intellectual property rights. Owners of copyrighted works who believe their rights have been infringed may take advantage of certain provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (the “DMCA”) to report alleged infringements. It is our policy under the DMCA and other applicable laws to reserve the right to terminate the membership of any Member who is either found to infringe third-party copyright or other intellectual property rights, including repeat infringers, or who we believe in our sole discretion are infringing these rights.

Security and Access to the Premises. Our goal is to provide a safe place, but in any community, it takes all the Members to help out. We take this seriously, so please be aware:

While all our locations have surveillance cameras at entrances and public access areas, we cannot guarantee a 100% secure environment.
Key Cards are not transferable and may not be lent out at any time to anyone for any reason. The lending of Key Cards will result in membership termination.

If any of your Key Cards are misplaced or stolen, you must notify a Fueled Collective staff member immediately - a $10 fee per Key Card will be charged to your account, and we will issue you a replacement card.

If you have a Membership Type which grants “after-hours” access, you are entrusted with a significant amount of security responsibility. After normal business hours of operation, the community’s property may be exclusively in your hands, so it is your responsibility to secure the building if you believe you are the last person on the Premises or any time after hours when no Fueled staff members are present. Please treat this privilege as if each Members’ valuables were your own. If abused by unauthorized parties, discos, or otherwise unapproved extracurricular activity, we may terminate your membership or revoke your after-hours access privileges.

Depending upon your Membership Type, you may have access to other Fueled Collective locations. Please note that this Code of Conduct applies at all Fueled Collective locations. Also, each Fueled Collective location may have specific rules and restrictions applicable to that specific location. You are responsible for abiding by this Code and the specific rules for each Fueled Collective you visit.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ACCESS ANY PART OF THE PREMISES INCLUDING PRIVATE OFFICES AT ANY TIME, WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE TO YOU. NOTHING IN THIS CODE, THE MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT OR ANY OTHER AGREEMENT BETWEEN US AND YOU CONVEYS ANY INTEREST IN REAL ESTATE TO YOU OTHER THAN THE LIMITED LICENSE GRANTED IN YOUR MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT.

Member Guests. In addition to other provisions of this Code and your membership agreement, the following additional rules apply to all guests.
All Member Guests must be accompanied by a Member at all times.

A Member guest must be signed-in at the greeting desk by a Fueled Collective staff member before using the Premises or any of the amenities.
The hosting Member will be responsible for their Member Guest’s actions at all times.

A maximum of three (3) Member Guests are permitted per day unless the Member receives prior consent by Fueled to host an event.
All Member Guests working in the space are subject to the terms of the Membership Agreement and the Fueled Policies (including this Code).
Any violation of the Fueled Policies by a Member Guest may result in immediate termination of this Agreement as to the hosting Member.
All Member Guests and charges they incur are the responsibility of the hosting Member who invited them onto the Premises.

While Member Guests may join you for meetings in our conference rooms, your membership is personal to you, and may not be shared. Any Member who abuses their guest privileges will be warned by the Fueled Collective staff. We reserve the right to charge repeat offenders of our Member Guest policies the price of one Day Pass, per guest, per day.

If you have a Member Guest working in the space with you outside of reserved conference room time, that guest must purchase a Day Pass. Guests may be asked to leave the Premises if they are working outside of reserved conference rooms without a valid Day Pass.

Company or Organizational Members. If you are a business entity or organization with multiple employees/contractors/service providers,  each such person must become a Member, or purchase a Day Pass for each day they intend for work at the Premises. You must provide us a roster of all persons who are part of your company/organization. Any changes to the roster must be provided in writing a minimum of Forty-Eight (48) hours before the change. A name, phone number, and email address must be provided for each person on your roster. Sharing Key Cards with persons, not on the company/organization roster may result in termination of all membership agreements for that company/organization.
Alcohol Rules and Policies. Our Fueled location features a full-service cash bar, available to Members and Member Guests after 3 pm each day, Monday through Friday. Members and Member Guests must pay any bar tabs by credit card at the Fueled Collective bar at the time of purchase. Please note an 18% service charge will automatically be added to all bar purchases to be distributed amongst the bartending staff. Self-service beer and wine may be available to Members and Member Guests before 4 pm as an amenity. We reserve the right to refuse alcohol service to any Member or Member Guest at any time. Persons under Twenty-One (21) years of age and those without a valid photo ID will not be served at any time, without exception. If a Fueled Collective location features self-service alcohol, it is a privilege, and as such, it may be revoked at any time in our sole discretion.

Mail and Package Delivery. You may choose to have your mail sent to Fueled Collective Rookwood but assumes no liability for lost or stolen mail. A member of the Fueled Collective staff will store mail daily and may attempt, as a courtesy, to notify you via the Member portal, email, or telephone that you have received mail. Any mail that is not retrieved from our staff after thirty (30) days after delivery may be returned to the courier or sender. You will be responsible for retrieving any returned mail after this Thirty (30) day holding period. Please keep any package deliveries to items no larger than a shoebox. Repeated violations of our mail service rules may result in termination of your Membership Agreement.

Cleaning, Damage, and Repairs. Please be respectful of other Members by keeping the Premises clean and tidy. While Fueled Collective staff may pitch in with cleaning from time-to-time, they are not a personal cleaning service. Please dispose of any food, beverage, recyclables, or work-related trash you create in the appropriate receptacles. Please do not rearrange furniture without the permission of a Fueled Collective staff member. Any furniture, fixtures, or equipment that are damaged as a result of your use must be repaired at your expense. If you notice any defects or damaged items in the Premises, please alert a Fueled Collective staff member immediately.

Conference Rooms. Conference rooms are areas designated for meeting purposes only. Each room must be booked in advance using the Fueled Member network. You may not temporarily use a conference room without a reservation. Conference rooms are available for rent Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm except on holidays or when the Fueled Collective location is closed. It is the Member’s responsibility to leave the room in good working condition, with tables cleaned, and garbage disposed of properly. Some Membership types may come with blocks of meeting room rental time included as part of your Membership. The Fueled Member platform will keep track of your conference room time balance. If you go over your monthly-allotted hours you will be billed for those hours automatically on your next monthly invoice at the hourly rate indicated for your Membership type. Surcharges for conference room time will be charged automatically to the payment method associated with your membership (via credit card or EFT from your bank account) upon the use of that conference room time.

Holidays. Fueled Collective locations may be closed on standard US holidays. We reserve the right to close a location surrounding holiday dates to allow for staff and Members to enjoy more time with family.

CLOSED: Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day

If you have a Membership that grants you after-hours access, you may have access to the space but it will be unstaffed.

We retain the right to make changes anytime to this holiday schedule at our discretion surrounding the Holiday date.

Storage Lockers. Fueled features daily storage lockers for personal items, bags, computer equipment, etc. Storage lockers are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and must be emptied by the end of each day. The storage lockers feature programmable locking mechanisms. If you are locked out of a storage locker, please contact a Fueled Collective staff member for assistance. Any items not removed from storage lockers by the end of the day may be held in storage by our staff. Any items not retrieved from our staff within Thirty (30) days will be deemed abandoned and may be discarded, kept, or resold with no liability to you.

We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items as a result of your use of the Premises, including these storage lockers.
Parking. Please see the Building Rules or ask a Fueled Collective Staff Member for details on parking related to this Fueled location.
Terms. Please note that this Code of Conduct works in connection with your Membership Agreement and it is binding on you. Any capitalized terms that aren’t defined in this Code will have the meaning given to them in your Membership Agreement.
